AV Assistant (AVA) finds all the nearest aids to navigation surrounding your live GPS position or a fixed position and allows you to verify the aid or report a discrepancy. The Light List data comes from weekly XML and LNM updates provided by the United States Coast Guard.
Unless you will be using the reporting features of AVA as a member of the US Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary, or another agency, Nearest Light is recommended instead.
